Brinkmann Grills: Low Priced, Good Sizes, Plenty Of Power

Not many outdoor grill manufacturers fall into the category of offering large grills at low prices. Many shoppers who are on a budget want to grill for five or more people, but don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for their gas grill. If this sounds like you, a Brinkmann grill may be just the model you’re looking for.

Brinkmann Corporation started over 30 years ago and now makes a wide variety of outdoor products. Today, they’re most prominently known for their flashlights, grills, and camping equipment, but Brinkmann also makes lawn products and hunting gear. Over the years Brinkmann has become one of the most common names in gas grills and they’re sold nearly everywhere you find home and garden products.

With prices starting at just 99 dollars and going as high as 499, a Brinkmann grill can fit into just about anyone’s budget. Although when purchasing an outdoor gas grill you absolutely get what you pay for, Brinkmann offers a lot for this price. Heat outputs start at around 52,000 BTU’s and go upwards of 72,000 BTU’s. Grill sizes are well balanced with heat output and start at 550 square inches and go as high as 822 square inches. For this price range, few other manufacturers offer this size and power combination.

While Brinkmann grills do offer power and size, overall quality is a slightly lacking. Heat distribution is a little uneven and some models seem to be a complete hit or miss. In fact, depending on which model you purchase, some offer much better values than others. On the other hand, most Brinkmann grill models are attractive in design and offer lots of features. Searing burners, rotisseries, and even bottle openers have found their way into many of Brinkmann’s models. It is important to consider however that the most common problems with Brinkmann grills are results of their inexpensive internal materials, body fasteners and wheels. It is not uncommon for these parts to rust or break off after several seasons of use. Still though, it’s hard to beat the price.

All in all, because of its large size, low price, and high power combination, a Brinkmann grill might be a good consideration for someone on a budget who requires a large grilling area. There are a few other grills that match this size and price combination, however, due to quality issues, if you can manage with a smaller grill, there may be more durable options available.
