Grill Master Grills: Low priced, Basic Featured, Short Term Grill

      Outdoor grill brands seem to come and go from Lowes stores like they’re a revolving door.  In just the past few years they’ve had various different brands come and go including Perfect Flame and several Nexgrill manufactured brands.  Not surprisingly, their newest introduction, Grill Master, is made by Nexgrill and is likely to follow the same trend.

      Grill Master grills have recently been introduced to Lowes stores and currently offer a single model.  They are imported from China by Nexgrill, a manufacturer known for selling grills in big box stores at mid to low prices.  Nexgrill often puts emphasis on the design and features of its grills, rather than their quality or functionality.  In addition, Nexgrill has also been known for its lack of support for its various different brand names but has recently set up a website and improved its customer service. 

      As one of the most inexpensive grills at Lowes, Grill Master’s only model, the Grill Master 4-Burner Gas Grill has been selling quite strong.  With just 4 main burners and a side burner it’s a rather basic grill and at only 200 dollars, it’s not that bad of a value for the price. It offers a strong 60,000 BTU’s covering 667 square inches of total cooking area, porcelain coated cast iron grates, and stainless and powder coated steel construction.

      Although the Grill Master 4-Burner Gas Grill has good heat output and can quickly preheat to 600 degrees it has been introduced as one of Lowes lowest priced grills.  As with all outdoor gas grills, you do get what you pay for.  Aside from its good heat output and size, the Grill Master grill is made from thin and low quality components.  The 400 series stainless combined with flimsy handles, knobs, and parts aren’t likely to last more than a few seasons.  Users have already reported the igniters malfunctioning, poor overall fit and finish, and a difficult assembly.  Therefore, if purchasing a Grill Master grill, a preassembled model is suggested.

      Overall, Grill Master is offering a low price on a grill that will perform well for a few seasons and isn’t a bad deal for the price, however, there are better options for not much more that will last significantly longer.
