Master Forge: Feature packed, Value Priced, Questionable Quality
In case you were considering purchasing a
Master Forge grill, you have come to the right place. Reading some Master Forge grill reviews is a must do
before you buy!
Master Forge Grills are a
relatively new brand of outdoor gas grills introduced by Lowes stores and imported from China by Geo Global
Partners. They are a Lowes exclusive brand and their presence in the U.S. is very low. Long term customer
service and parts availability are unknown, and, if purchasing a Master Forge Grill, these are two things you’ll
want to be sure to consider. Therefore, an extended service plan from Lowes is highly
recommended.
Currently Lowes only
offers several Master Forge models. Pricing on these grills starts at 199 dollars and goes up to 1,299
dollars. The models vary in size and power characters in the wide range of 455
to 950 square inches of cooking area and 30,000 to 115,500 BTU’s.
Although most Master Forge grill
models are somewhat similar, except in size, they are all feature packed and adequately powered. Most
models include side burners, rotisserie burners, and even a grill cover. The main selling points Master Forge
grills have are their attractive design and high curb appeal combined with a relatively low price tag for the
size and power of grill you're getting. These two features alone motivate many uninformed potential buyers to
open their wallets only to be disappointed down the road.
Most Master
Forge owners will find that the parts and construction of these grills is relatively low quality.
These grill's hoods and carts are made from ultra thin low quality steel. Depending on the model, the
burners are either made with low quality 430 stainless steel, or thin 304 stainless. The 430
stainless burners tend to rust through in as little as one to two years. In addition, the other parts
of these grills including the knobs, hoses, and handles are all made of cheap plastic
parts.
Overall, Master Forge
grills are another prime example of low priced, but mediocre performing grills with questionable long term
durability. For this price range these grills aren’t awful choices, but higher quality can be had at similar
costs.
