Perfect Flame Grills: Discontinued, Poor
Reputation, Poor Quality
It seems to
be a common practice for big box stores to introduce new lines
of grills, only for them to be discontinued several years down
the road. Perfect Flame grills are a prime example of this as
these grills have been replaced by the Master Forge line at
Lowes.
The
Perfect Flame grills sold at Lowes have been discontinued due
to a poor reputation and several recalls. They were made in
China and imported by Bbqtek. These grills were made at a very
low cost and suffered from quality issues from the
start.
There are still a few Perfect
Flame grills on display at your local Lowes store, however,
purchasing one is not recommended. Many customers had problems
with the burners rusting in as little as one year and not
receiving the costly replacement
parts for several weeks. Additionally, there were several
recalls due to flare ups and fires from poor manufacturing
consistency and design.
Overall,
Perfect Flame grills had an attractive design and were
adequately powered. In the end though, they are another grill
manufacturer that focused on heat output and curb appeal
over quality and functionality. This eventually led to their
discontinuation.
