Weber Q Review

Weber Q: A Combination Of
Portability, Price, And Performance
If you’re looking for a portable grill for tailgating, or a
midsized grill for your patio, the Weber Q line up is certainly
a great choice. It’s a customer favorite for those who own
apartments and condos because of its compact size, portability,
and simplicity.
Whatever your need is, the Weber Q probably comes in a size
that fits your requirements and budget. With six different
models varying in size and functionality there’s nearly
something for everyone. Prices start at just 149 dollars for
the portable model and 379 dollars for the midsized stand up
model. The cooking area and power of the Weber Q varies with
price. The smallest model, the Q-100 has 189 square inches
of total cooking area and 8,500 BTU’s, while the Q-320
boasts 462 square inches and 21,700 BTU’s. The Q-100 and
Q-200 are considered to be the portable models, while the
Q-300 series is not. Both of the smaller models
use one pound disposable propane cylinders, while
the Q-300 uses 20 lb. propane tanks.
Even though the main benefits of the Weber Q are its size
and portability, it still holds its own when it comes time
to do some grilling. The cast aluminum shell makes them both
durable and powerful for their size. Heat distribution is
spot on and the larger Q’s have no trouble getting
to 500 degrees in only ten minutes. Plus, even
though the Weber Q series may look small, the Q-320
will hold two whole chickens or three dozen hot
dogs.
Overall, for city dwellers, tailgaters, and outdoor cooking
enthusiasts alike, the Weber Q series offers something for
everyone. It’s a great value, cooks well, and has
outstanding durability. If this is the size of grill you’re
looking for, you really can’t go wrong with the Weber
Q.
